Export filters

Export filters are filters used by MonTel to export complete transactions to a third party costing system or to the firms accounting system. The export filters are also used by ParsOut to translate from a common format created by a TransIn filter into the specified format required by the Practise Management Accounting System of a firm.

Reference (Generic) MonTel export filters

The generic MonTel export filter has been written to cover case where an accounting system needs to import disbursement data from MonTel, and there is not an existing MonTel filter. This gives a format that could be used by a third party utility or be used as a reference for creating an import in the external application to import transactions from MonTel.

New filters are free for users on current MonTel maintenance, so please contact MonTel support to have a filter written for your external application rather than relying on this reference filter. However, external application developers are encouraged to use the format of Montel.mef as a template for MonTel imports.

MONITOR Business Machines Export Filters

There are currently two filters that can be used to export from Monitor Business Machines. The Monitor.mef filter for versions of Supervisor prior to version 4, and Dmon4.mef for Version 4 of Supervisor.net.

MYOB Viztopia Export filter

The Viztopia.mef filter exports transactions to MYOB Viztopia.

Pcounter Export filter

Monitor.mef is designed for backwards compatibility, and is matched with Monitor.mif and Dmon.mif on the import side. Dmon4.mef takes advantage of some of the new import formats for available for Supervisor 4, as implemented in Dmon4.mif.

Pcounter (Printer Accounting for Windows) is a cost recovery system for printers. There is currently one export filter that will create a coma delimited transaction file for Pcounter. This filter (Pcount.mef) can be configured with a number of potions to provide some flexibility with the format.

LawWare Export filter

There is currently one export filter that will create a fixed length transaction file for LawWare. This filter (Lawware.mef) can be configured with a number of positions to provide some flexibility with the format.

PCLaw Export filter

There is currently one export filter that will create a CSV file for PCLaw. This filter can be configured with a number of potions to provide some flexibility with the format.

LEAP export filter

The LEAP export filter Leap.mef exports data in a fixed length record file. LEAP Legal Software is produced by LEAP a privately owned Australian company that develops and markets proprietary software and online information broking services in Australasia and the Persian Gulf.
