Netwiz has provided this module as an interim solution for those users who have not yet upgraded to Windows. Netwiz highly recommends upgrading to Windows 95 where possible. This module does not have most of the features of MonTel for Windows, and is provided only so that users can review their calls.
Here we show how easy it is to use the MonTel DOS User Module The DOS user module does not contain the client, contact and charging capacity of the MonTel for Windows software. Skip this chapter if you use Windows.
While the MonTel Server module looks after all the day to day (even second to second) activity of sending messages and E-Mails and up-dating your call information database, the user module allows you to peruse the database to see old, or current call information.
From either a DOS prompt, Windows Icon or a Menu system, start the MonTel User Module. It is called "PABXUSR.EXE".
Figure Title or About box.
Press Enter to clear the "About Box" and the system will read ahead to collect information on your calls. In the example shown, the user is a receptionist and has security access to all calls.

The cursor bar moves down the screen as more calls are received by the PABX and relayed to the MonTel system. This way your database is always up to date.
From here the operation is simple. Use the up and down cursor keys to scroll through the database. Use the page up and down to move a whole screen at a time. Use the home and end keys to move from the most recent to the oldest record. That is all there is to it!
Note that when you scroll up and down the cursor moves very quickly. It is almost as fast as a word processor. Some of the key elements are as follows:

The scroll bar moves up and down according to the position you have selected with the cursor keys. The STATUS and ERROR entries give advanced information about the program and report errors. The USER MESSAGES and INTERFACE show software specific information, that will be removed in future versions.
Specifically it is showing how far ahead the database is being read.
