Report Calls - with this form you can generate reports that can be displayed in a Call Record display window.
Figure Report Calls window in MonTel
"Select calls type" select the type of calls to search. See Selected call record file. Search Order refers to the way the call record file is built up. You will then need to select the search order, that is whether you want to start from the most recent date or whether you want to go back to the beginning of the records and start from there. See Search order.
Then you will need to select how you are going to filter this call. Use the check box on the left hand side of the screen to select a filter for cost, date, time, number, extension, duration, user or department or any combination of the above. If you don't tick any of the boxes on the left then the report will include: all extensions, or all phone numbers or, all dates and time, or any cost, and the rest, where the appropriate check box is left unchecked. For more information on the various filters see: Report by cost, Report by date and time, Report by Number, Report by Extension, Report by Duration, Report by User and Report by Updated.
Generally, adding more filters removes more call records from the list generated, but adds to the time it takes as each call record has to be checked in more detail. The exception is the Date check box, which uses a binary search algorithm to limit the number of call records check, which can dramatically improve the speed of a report. So for optimal reports, it is best to select the date and time range.
If you want the call records to be displayed as they are found make sure the Auto Display check box it ticked.
Once the filters are all select, press the Button Build report to start the process.
It is possible to stop the search at and time and display the results.
Use the Display button to display the results. The results are displayed as a complete call record file (which can be saved or printed as can a normal call record file), and a detailed report summary.
You can resume an incomplete report.
