How to install and run various MonTel 'Windows Service' based applications

A number of MonTel applications are designed to work in the background as Windows Services. These applications include ServerSV, SerSQLsv, MonexSV, MonImpSV, FaxMonSv and (eventually) MonRepSV. The services need to be manually installed on the MonTel computer (or computers).

These services can be installed either to run as a domain user (see How to manually install a MonTel 'Windows Service' that uses a domain user account, or as the local system account if the computer has been given the correct access rights on the network (see How to manually install a MonTel 'Windows Service' that uses a Local System account).

The local system account is suitable only if the SQL Server that MonTel uses is on the same computer (and you are able to configure the file server to allow access by that computer), otherwise you need to the service to login with a domain user account.
