How to license MonTel

MonTel is licensed by and initial purchase, followed by annual maintenance agreements. The maintenance is about 20% of the original list price, and includes: Software updates, fixes and new features (that aren't licensed separably) to MonTel.

The price structure is in bands that correspond to a mixture of users and extensions. Basically one license 'slot' is the combination of one user (a person or application or computer), and an extension. For example where you might want a person say a secretary to monitor more than one phone line or extension, you would need two license slots. It is always a good idea to have an overhead of about 20%, to allow for this sort of duplication, for expansion, and for missed situations (for example who is monitoring the board room phone).

The bands are:

So a business with more than about 80 users should purchase a 250 slot license, even though they would in theory be covered by a 100 slot license, so they can allow for expansion, cover duplicates and extras.
