This is a continuation of the instructions from How to install the Cisco TSP for MonTel.
|
From the control panel select "Phone and Modem Options". Click on the Advance tab, and confirm that the CiscoTSP is present. Because we selected multiple TSPs it is named CiscoTSP01.tsp. If there is more than one Cisco TSP we will have to configure all the installed TSPs in the following manner.
Press the Configure button. And then select the User tab.
Enter the user name, and password details of the user that you created in call manager for communicating to MonTel. Now press the CTI Manager tab.
Enter the IP Address or the Host name of the Call Manager Server. Enter the name of the backup system if one is present. Press OK.
Back on the 'Phone and Modem options' window, you may need remove and add the CiscoTSP for the setting to reinitialise.
By default some trace files are recorded on the local system in the TEMP folder. One the TSP is shown to be working then you may wish to turn of the trace file generation. This can be done from the Trace tab (above).
The best way to check if the TSP has been initialised is to check the Server??.log file (where ?? is either CN or SV) is the folder call Main under the MonTel Data Folder, one the Server has been started. Look for some entries that look like:
2005-09-01 11:16:10 -STATUS: (Tapi) Starting TAPI collector.
2005-09-01 11:16:11 -LOGGED: (Tapi) Opened 17 lines on Cisco Call Manager 4.01 system.
2005-09-01 11:16:11 -STATUS: Opening TAPI_IO.
If is says "(Tapi) Opened 0 lines on Cisco Call Manager" then the most likely problem is that the TSP has failed to communicate with the call manager system. Check the user name and password. During testing there was some suggestion that lower case users names worked but mixed case did not (however this has not been confirmed).
If the line does not appear at all, check the configuration of the PABX.INI file and confirm the following entries:
[MonTelServer]
PABXDriverCNName = "CiscoCM4.drl"
[SerialPortSettings]
TypeOfInput = 2
