MONTEL 2.10.14

This Netwiz Technical Support Note has been sent to announce that MonTel 2.10.14 pre-release is up on the web site. MonTel Version 2.10.n is working on a number of sites, perhaps even the majority of sites, and the next release with be the full version (rather than pre-release). In fact 2.10.n has too many feature improvements to ignore, especially the new costing tables and should be installed on all new sites.

The major change for 2.10.14 is AutoImportMarkAllTerminated.

Where AutoImportMarkAllTerminated was set to one in previous versions it would mark all records as terminated, and then import the current list progressively marking them as un-terminated, thereby leaving just the old or deleted records as terminated. This worked well for overnight imports, however with the SQL data engine allowing imports are now being done during the day records were marked as deleted for the time it takes to reimport them, which may have been several minutes.

To prevent this issue the AutoImportMarkAllTerminated now flags but does not terminate all records. The flags are unset if the record is imported. Then the remaining flagged records are marked as terminated.

MONTEL WEB REPORTS

MonTel web reports have been included in this release. The reports will be enhanced in the future, but a basic (if not attractive) feature set for call record reporting is there. The systems requires a new service be installed, as well as having PHP installed and added to the IIS server. (PHP is a free).
