Specifications of the MonTel Server
ENVIRONMENT (Computer specifications.)
- The MonTel services will run on any reasonable system capable of Running the appropriate operating system. The MonTel services are not resource hogs, and are unlikely to be stressed until well past the point when the input data-stream is capable of being saturated.
- The MonTel PC may also host the Master Client database, which can be an MS SQL Server 7.0, MSDE, SQL 2000, SQL 2005 or derivatives. Naturally the computer would need to meet the specifications for the appropriate system.
- Operating systems supported are: Windows 2000 Professional and Server, Windows XP and Windows 2003 server.
OTHER
- Maximum number of combinations of Users and Extension is 10000, i.e. 10000 User License slots. Note that each license has separate number maximum users and extensions. (This can be expanded to support larger sites on a request by request basis).
- Maximum number of external PABX's monitored by MonTel is 4. (This can be expanded by request).
- Maximum number of different File Servers or Volumes for the location of Users home directories is 64 (per MonTel Server) .
- Maximum number of different Departments supported is 128 (per MonTel Server) .
- Maximum number of external trunk lines supported ~10000 (per MonTel Server) .
- Maximum number of external trunk routes supported 28 (per MonTel Server) .
- Maximum/highest date in MonTel call records about: Jan 19 03:14:07 2038 GMT. (This will be increased with the advent of 64bit version of MonTel)
- Maximum number of call records is 2,147,483,646. (Which is over one million calls a week during from Jan 18 2000 to Jan 18 2038. A busy accounting firm of 50 people would make about a million call records in 5 years). (This will be increased with the advent of 64bit version of MonTel on 64bit Operating systems)
- Size of one call record 74 bytes.
- Call records are never deleted. Maximum steps to find a sequentially ordered call record is 32. This means that scrolling up and down call records, or reading a particular call record should not change in a noticeable way as the call record database grows. Call records are indexed by there position in the file.
